Review |
| OVERALL: 4.5/5 |
This system is awesome, as most of us remember the games
associated with the NES, such as Super Mario Bros. and others.
Downloads are not huge, but are fairly large, with ROMS taking
up from 100kb and up, but it is very fun, and most games work
with NESticle, except for some of the 3-D racing view ones. |
| Legality:4/5 |
Although this system is not sold anymore & no one is
making games, it seems like some of the good ROM sites have been
shut down, even though it should be perfectly legal. |
| Download Time:3/5 |
The emulator isn't all that big, and game ROMs are usually
less than 150kb or even 100kb, depending on genre and graphics,
but this is pretty big for emulated games. |
| Fun Factor:5/5 |
Out of the huge selection of games, there are a lot of fun
ones, such as Kirby's Adventure, and the Super Mario trilogy.
When the system came out, it was revolutionary because of this.
It was a long-lived system by today's system of new units every
2 to 3 years. |
| Graphics:3.5/5 |
The graphics for this system aren't great, but then, compare
Mario 3 or Kirby's Adventure to Super Mario 1, and you'll see
that the graphics got a little bit better as the system got
older. There are 16 colors on the screen at one time I think,
and you can tell that the resolution isn't that high. |
| Ease of Use:5/5 |
You can just unzip the games & emulator in the same
directory and then type in "nesticle" and you are
ready to play. You can load games using the menu system. |
